Our Story
After completing barber school in 1977, Doug Barnes began his career as a barber and quickly moved into management, gaining valuable experience in customer service and business operations. In 1979, Doug and his wife Liz opened their first franchised salon in partnership with Regis Corporation, the parent company of brands like Cost Cutters, Supercuts, and SmartStyle.
Over the next 40+ years, Doug and Liz expanded to 43 salons across Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota, driven by their commitment to quality service and hard work. Fourteen years ago, their son Rich became Chief Executive Officer, and their daughter Jess joined four years later as Chief Strategy & Resource Officer. The family believes their shared values and dedicated team create a welcoming environment that keeps customers coming back.
